Facebook is one of the largest and most popular social media networks around. It keeps getting bigger as it continues to acquire more and more relatively smaller platforms.

The platform uses a feature called “infinite scrolling” to ensure users never run out of posts to view when scrolling their news feeds. In this article, we’re talking about how you can fix the “there are no more posts to show right now” error on Facebook.

Check your internet connection

The Facebook apps and the site require an active internet connection to work, which means if you don’t have one, you won’t be able to do much (or anything) on the platform. Check to make sure you’ve got proper internet access.

Check for updates

Check if any updates are available for the Facebook app on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, depending upon what device you’re using. If you’re trying to access the desktop site, make sure your browser is updated.

Reinstall the app

If updating the app wasn’t enough, try removing it and reinstalling it from scratch. This is bound to freshen things up on your device and possibly fix the issue you’re facing.

Step 1: Type in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.

Logout and login again

If nothing else has resolved the ‘There are no more posts to show right now’ issue on Facebook, log out of the app and log back in. If you’ve followed the guide above, logging out and getting back in will reset all the cached settings, and you should be able to see more posts.

Check news feed settings

If the ‘There are no more posts to show right now’ issue persists, you should check your news feed settings once.

Step 1: Click on the profile options from your news feed (arrow button on PC; hamburger icon on mobile app) and select Settings & Privacy.

Step 2: Then select News Feed preferences.

Here you can check all the news feed settings and fix any feature causing the ‘There are no more posts to show right now’ error.

For new users: Add more friends, follow more pages

If you’re a new user and see the ‘There are no more posts to show right now’ message now and then, it’s probably because of the low friends count on the app or because you haven’t followed a lot of pages. Try adding more friends or following more pages to populate the news feed.
