Samsung’s 2021 iteration of the Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for August 11, and the company has suggested that they’ll be launching the third generation of foldable Galaxy Z devices and a new S Pen on the day. However, Note fans won’t be rejoiced to know that the company isn’t unveiling a new Galaxy Note device this time around.
An update by Samsung mobile president TM Roh confirms some speculations concerning the event and also give a glimpse into what to expect from the new generation of Galaxy Z devices, including a Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, and also an S Pen designed for these.
The third-gen Galaxy Z foldable devices will bring new multitasking capabilities and will also feature a more durable design for starters. New apps and services will also be making their way to the new Galaxy Z devices. Owners will be able to leverage optimised video calling on Google Duo to enhance the hands-free experience,e able to watch videos on Youtube in Flex mode and multi-task on Teams, among several other new experiences.
In addition to the third-gen foldable Galaxy devices, Samsung will also be unveiling a new S Pen that’s designed for foldable phones. Moreover, some popular Galaxy Note features are also expected to trickle down to more Galaxy devices.
“In a few weeks, we will unleash our latest and greatest Galaxy Z series to reshape the smartphone category and completely reimagine your experiences,” said Dr TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. “The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold combines the very best that smartphones and tablets offer and delivers completely new ways of working, connecting and creating, while the upcoming Z Flip exhibits an even more refined style, armed with more durable, stronger materials.”
