Shopify’s payment checkout service, Shop Pay, is coming to Facebook and Instagram in the coming months and to Google in late 2021. The tool will be available to the million-strong merchant community on both platforms even if they don’t use Shopify’s online store.
Shop Pay was rolled out to Shopify merchants selling on Facebook and Instagram earlier this year in February and Shopify merchants selling on Google in May. This announcement expands on Shop Pay’s coverage beyond Shopify’s merchants.
According to Shopify, checkout using Shop Pay is 70% faster than typical checkouts and boast a 1.72x higher conversion rate. This is the first time a Shopify product is available to merchants who don’t use Shopify to manage their stores.
“Since launching, Shop Pay has set the standard for checkout experiences, facilitating more than $24 billion in orders. The expansion to all merchants selling on Facebook and Google is a mission-critical step in bringing a best-in-class checkout to every consumer, every merchant, every platform, and every device,” said Carl Rivera, VP, Product, Shop Pay.
Shop Pay offers a convenient way to track and manage orders and also says that they offset 100% of delivery emissions on every order.
The one-click checkout tool will be available to merchants in US.
