Restart your phone

  • Head over to phone settings and scroll down to Google.
  • Scroll down and tap Settings for Google apps.
  • Tap Search, Assistant and Voice.
  • Now tap Voice.
  • Tap Offline speech recognition.
  • Head to the Auto-updates tab and select the Auto-update languages at any time option.

Reinstall speech services

  • Open Google Play Store and search for Speech Services. Tap the app to proceed.
  • Tap the Uninstall button to remove the app.

Once the app is removed, press the Install button that appears to reinstall. Restart your phone and try again.
