Despacito, which is Spanish for slowly is a Spanish song by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, both hailing from Puerto Rica. The song was a chartbuster upon release and topped charts of 47 countries while entering the top ten in ten others.

#3 | Shape of You – Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran released the Shape of you on January 6 2017. The song was included as a part of his third studio album. The song was also awarded the Best Pop Solo Performance at the 60th Grammy Awards.

#6 | UpTown Funk – Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

Another hugely popular song, UpTown Funk was recorded by record producer, Mark  Ronson who hails from the UK along with American singer/songwriter Bruno Mars. The song released on 10th November 2014.

It went on to become the second best selling song of 2015 and won two Grammy awards as well, including the record of the year.

Gangnam Style was an unexpected hit that no one saw coming. The video is all about Psy mocking Seoul’s Gangnam-gu.

The video went live on 15 July 2012 and over-took Justin Bieber’s existing record or 803,700,000 to take the most-watched video spot on YouTube. It managed to stay there for about 1689 days.

#8 | Sorry – Justin Bieber

While the song originally was intended just to be a lyric video, the video ended up to be the main one. It turned out to be the fifth-fastest video to reach 1 Billion views son the platform. 

The song comes from Bieber’s fourth studio album, Purpose. It released on October 23, 2015, and topped the charts of 14 countries.

#9 | Sugar – Maroon 5

Maroon 5 recorded Sugar for their fifth studio album V. The song was released as a single on January 13, 2015. It peaked at number 2 on the US billboard 100. 

Fun fact about the video, the weddings that are being crashed in the video, are not staged. Maroon 5 actually went and crashed multiple weddings around Los Angeles.
