How to transfer contacts from Android to Android via Google Account Sync?
Nearly all Android phones come with pre-enabled Google services, which includes synced Youtube, Drive, Google News, Calendar and mobile Contacts, But if there seems to be an issue with the sync, here is how how to make sure that all your contacts are protected.
- Start by opening the Settings menu on your old phone, scroll down, and click on the Accounts button.
- Here you will reach the sync data menu, now tap the Google.
- This will bring your Google account or accounts that are currently synced with the device in hand.
- Tap on the sync account and tick the toggle of the Contacts, the device will automatically sync the contacts.

- Open your Gmail account and tap on the Google apps icon.

If by some default you are unable to access your google services, or maybe you want to keep another backup record, this alternative will help you make .vcf file that can be transferred to new a device via USB or cloud server.
Here is how it is done, but before that don’t forget to Download Google contacts app if it’s not pre-loaded on your phone.
- Open the Google contacts app and click the hamburger icon on the top-left corner of the screen.
- On the drop-down menu, click the Setting button and then Export option.
- From here choose the account where you want to keep the .vcf file and then click the Export to .vcf file.
- Now hit the Save button to save the file.
Here is how you can retrieve the .vcf file using Google contacts app.
- Open the Google contacts app and click the hamburger icon on the top-left corner of the screen.
- On the drop-down menu, click the Setting button and then Import option.
- Select the .vsf file in the pop-up window.
- From the new tab, pick the account where you want to import the file.
