Find My iPhone is one of the most useful apps that helps the user locate their device if ever they misplace it or if it has been stolen. Find My feature isn’t limited to the iPhones but also works on iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, Apple Watch and even the AirPods.

How to turn on Find My iPhone?

To turn on Find My feature on your iPhone, iPad or iPod, go to the device’s settings and follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Go to your iPhone’s Settings and then tap on your Apple ID profile at the top.
  • On the next page, tap on Find My.
  • Then tap on Find My iPhone.
  • On the next page, tap on the toggle button beside Find My iPhone at the top (refer to the screenshot below).
  • Then tap on Ok.

Find My iPhone feature will now be activated and you can locate your iPhone, iPad or iPod using the feature online. All you’ll need is your Apple ID and password handy and you’ll be good to go.

Once you’ve turned on Find My iPhone, on the same page, you’ll also find two more options — Enable Offline Finding and Send Last Location. You can also tap on the toggle button beside each one of these to ensure you never lose your device.

If you Enable Offline Finding, your device will be located even when not connected to WiFi or mobile internet. Switching on Send Last Location will send the location of the iPhone automatically to Apple when it’s low on battery.
