Motorsport Simulations iRacing is one of those sims where you are free to do as you like in terms of imagination. Want a three monitor setup? You got it. Want VR? It’s right there for you. Want an extra screen for your dash? You bet it’s there.Â
Although not officially supported, there are a lot of ways you can get additional screens around you to show your iRacing dash. It can be more helpful than you think, having a dedicated screen can really give you a lot more information than the on-screen dash in most cars and help you focus on the road better.
In this article, we’re going to talk about how you can use your Android and iOS device as a iRacing dashboard.

Using your phone as a iRacing dashboard
Basically, we’re downloading an app on your phone and software on your PC that can talk to each other and relay your iRacing dash data and telemetry from your PC to your phone. Follow the steps below to double-up your smartphone as the iRacing dash.
Step 1: Head over to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and download the Fast dash for iRacing app.
You can find the Android app here and iOS app here
Step 2:Â On your PC, open SwatterCo and download the PC app.
Step 3:Â Once you’ve downloaded the app, there are three ways to connect to your device
- UDP: This the most hassle-free and the preferred method. It works wirelessly and most routers will support it.
- TCP: If for some reason UDP doesn’t work for you, you can use TCP as an alternative wireless method.
- USB [Android only]: As the name suggests, this is a hardwired alternative that requires USB Debugging to be enabled on your phone.
For this guide, we’re going to use the UDP method as it’s the most convenient and there’s no setup needed.Â
Step 4: Press the Start button on the PC app to launch the server.
Step 5: Start the app on your smartphone and wait for it to connect
Once it’s connected you’ll see a ‘waiting for iRacing’ message.
Fire up iRacing and enjoy your new dash.
