Google’s paid streaming service YouTube Premium and YouTube Music are expanding to seven new countries, which takes the total number of countries to 24.

Initially launched in October 2015 and known as YouTube Red, it was rechristened to YouTube Premium in June this year.

The new countries are Chile, Colombia, Japan, Peru, Portugal, Switzerland and Ukraine.

Update: YouTube Premium has also been launched in India. Check out all of its features, price in India, USA and the updated list of all the countries where YouTube Premium is available.

Although according to this report India is one of the largest viewer markets for content creators, the country is yet to get YouTube Premium services.

YouTube Premium and Music Premium features

YouTube Originals: New original series and movies from YouTube’s studio.
Download videos: Much like YouTube Go, you can download and save videos to watch at a later point when you might be low on data or in a place with a spotty internet connection.

Ad-free experience: Listen to the songs without the hassle of skipping ads.
Download music: You can save the songs and playlists on the YouTube Music app to listen offline later.

YouTube Premium service is available in USA for $11.99 per month and if you only wish to buy the YouTube Music Premium, that’s available for $9.99 per month.

YouTube Premium subscription includes all the features of YouTube Music as well as YouTube. Lone YouTube Music Premium only gets you premium features on the YouTube app such as exclusive live performances, mixes and also the entire Google Play Music catalogue.
