Follow the steps below to add certifications and licenses to your Linkedin account via the website on PC or Android and iOS apps.

How to add certifications and licenses on your LinkedIn account via PC?
Sign in to your account on the Linkedin website and follow the steps mentioned below to add certifications and licenses to your Linkedin account via PC.
Step 1: On your news feed on the home page, click on your profile picture or name on the top-left side of the screen to open your profile to add certificates or licenses. Alternatively, you can also click on the small Me icon on the top-right of the screen and select View Profile.
Step 2: On your Linkedin profile page, click on Add Profile section (located to the right of your profile picture).
Step 3: Select Background from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Click on the small + (plus) sign beside Licenses and Certifications.
Step 5: A pop-window will appear. where you can add a name, issuing organisation, issue date, expiration date (check the box above, if the credential does not expire), credential ID, credential URL. You need to fill in the name and issuing organisation; though filling the rest of the information is optional and you can hide sections as you see fit.
Once you’ve completed entering the information of your license or certification, click on the Save button. You can also click on Save and Add Another in case you want to add another certificate or license.
Your license or certification will be automatically added to your profile. Scroll down on your profile to confirm the same.
You can also edit it by clicking on the Pen icon on the right side of the added certificates or licenses. In case you want to add new license or certification, click on the + (plus) icon at the top-right of the certifications section on your Linkedin profile.

How to add certifications and licenses on your LinkedIn account via Android or iOS app?
Open the Linkedin app on your Android or iOS device and follow the steps mentioned below to add certifications and licenses on Linkedin.
- Tap on the small icon with three horizontal lines accompanied by your profile picture on the top-left corner of the app display.
- From the options that appear on the left, tap on View Profile.
- Tap on the + (plus) icon on the bottom-right of the screen.
- Choose Background from the list of options.
- Then tap on + (plus) icon near licenses and certifications.
- A new window will appear to add your license or certificate (refer to the screenshot below).
- Here you can add details like the name of the license or certificate, issuing organisation, issue date, expiration date (check the box above, if the credential does not expire), credential ID, credential URL. You need to fill in the name and issuing organisation; though filling the rest of the information is optional and you can hide sections as you see fit.
- Tap on Save on the top-right of the screen.
Your license or certificate will be automatically added to your profile. Scroll down on your profile to confirm the same. You can also edit it by clicking on the Pen icon on the right side. In case you want to add new volunteer experience, click on the + sign at the top-right of the certifications section on your Linkedin profile (refer to the screenshot above).
