The professional social network, Linkedin, allows users to hold personal as well as group conversations. Although it’s supposed to be a professional network, trolls and bullies are commonplace online and if you had a brush with one or a few, we’re sure your inbox doesn’t look pretty. While you can always delete connections and block users on Linkedin, you can also delete the messages that don’t fit your billing.
Linkedin doesn’t allow users to delete individual messages but you can delete entire conversations with someone or a group. However, it’s important to note that the messages are only deleted at your end — on your device and account — and will still be available in the recipient’s inbox until they decide to delete it from their end. Also, any conversation you delete can’t be restored or accessed again.

How to delete individual LinkedIn messages on PC?
Login to your account on Linkedin.com and follow the steps mentioned below to delete Linkedin messages via PC.
Step 1: Either go to the person’s profile and click on the Message button or click on the Messaging box at the bottom-right of your Linkedin account page to open a list of all Linkedin conversation. Either choose a person or group conversation or search for them via the Search messages box at the top of the messaging panel.
Step 2: Click on the horizontal triple-dot (meatball) menu icon at the top-right of the chatbox. From the dropdown list, select Delete.
Step 3: On the confirmation box, select Yes, delete.

How to delete LinkedIn messages in bulk on PC?
Login to your account on Linkedin.com and follow the steps mentioned below to delete Linkedin messages in bulk via PC.
Step 1: Click on the horizontal triple-dot (meatball) icon on the Messaging box at the bottom-right of the Linkedin window. From the list of options, select Manage conversations.
Step 2: From the list of conversations, choose all of those that you want to delete by checking the box beside them. Once you’ve selected all the message threads that you want to delete on Linkedin — individual and group — click on the trash bin icon at the top-right of the Messaging box.
Step 3: On the Sure you want to delete? confirmation prompt, click on the Yes, delete button.

How to delete individual messages on LinkedIn app?
Open the Linkedin app on your Android or iOS device and follow the steps mentioned below to delete messages.
- Tap on the message icon at the top-right corner of the app screen.
- On the next page, tap on the person or group conversation that you want to delete. You can search for the conversation via the Search messages box at the top.
- On the chat page, tap on the vertical three-dots (meatball) menu icon at the top-right.
- On the pop-up window, tap on the Delete button.

How to delete LinkedIn messages in bulk on iOS app?
Open the Linkedin iOS app and follow the steps mentioned below to delete Linkedin messages in bulk. This feature is currently only available on PC and iOS and will come to Android soon too.
- Tap on the message icon at the top-right corner of the app screen.
- On the next page, tap on the horizontal triple-dot (meatball) menu icon.
- From the dropdown list, select Manage conversations.
- From the list of conversations, choose all of those that you want to delete by checking the box beside them. Once you’ve selected all the message threads that you want to delete on Linkedin — individual and group — tap on the Delete option at the bottom of the screen.
- On the confirmation pop-up box, select Yes, delete.
