Remove the payment method

If you are facing the verification it is most probably related to the payment method you currently use. To remove the current payment method, follow the steps below.

The steps are the same for both iPhone and Mac
  • Open the Settings app and tap on your name.
  • Tap on the Payment & Shipping option.
  • Now, tap on the Edit option and tap on Delete (red coloured) button and then tap on Remove.

If you have an unpaid balance, you won’t be able to remove the current payment method, the alternative to that is changing your payment method.

Change your payment method

To update your payment information, add a new valid method. The new method will be charged automatically if there’s an unpaid amount. Once the balance is paid, you can continue purchasing and using regular subscriptions. To change the payment method follow the steps below.

The steps are the same for both iPhone and Mac
  • Open the Settings app and tap on your name.
  • Tap on the Payment & Shipping option. It may ask you to sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Tap the Add Payment Method option, enter the new payment method, and tap the Done button.

Download free apps without using the App Store on iPhone

If you don’t wish to download and install apps through the App Store on your iPhone, then you can either download the apps from their official sites or you can use third-party apps like iOS Ninja, AppEven and iOSEmus that lets you download the apps, for free without using the App Store.

Remember that using third-party apps to download apps can be tricky sometimes, as there is no surety whether those apps are malware-free.
