Disable the extension on Chrome and Brave
Below we have explained the steps to disable Chrome and Brave browser extensions.
Chrome
Disabling Chrome users using the Urban VPN extension will resolve the issue for them. If you don’t use the Urban VPN extension, then disable all the extensions and try using the back button again. If it works, then enable the extension one by one and try using the back button in between to figure out which one is the faulty extension. To disable the extension on Chrome, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click the Menu (triple vertical dots) icon on the Chrome browser.
Step 2: In the dropdown menu, hover over Extensions and click the Manage Extensions option.
Step 3: Turn the toggle off beside the Remove button under the extension you want to disable.
Brave
Disable all the extensions once on the Brave browser and then check the back button on Youtube. If it works fine, then enable extensions individually to find the faulty extension. To disable extension on Brave, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Brave browser and click on the Menu icon.
Step 2: In the dropdown menu, click on the Extensions option.
Step 3: Turn the toggle off beside the Remove button under the extension you want to disable.

Clear browser cache and cookies
The corrupted cache memory and cookies of the browser affect the proper functioning of the browser and might be a reason that is causing issues with the Youtube back button. Clear the browser cookies and cache memory of your browser, and then try using the back button.

Use another browser
