Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world and is loaded with features to make its users’ life more engaging. That said, the platform isn’t perfect, and there’s still the odd feature we all wish it had once in a while.

Merging Instagram accounts
The short answer is no, you can’t merge Instagram accounts as it stands at the moment.
Most Instagram users know that there are two main types of accounts on the platform — public and private. Public accounts can be further separated into business or celebrity accounts that have relaxed privacy settings in order to be visible to a larger audience and increase their reach.

Private accounts are the total opposite. In a private account, the user has full control over who gets to see their content and how. This means different privacy settings for each account based on the user’s preference, a huge hassle to deal with if you’re thinking of merging accounts.
Users can have multiple accounts on Instagram, each with its own varying privacy and visibility settings. However, merging them isn’t an option at the moment.
What are the alternatives?
Since Instagram itself doesn’t allow any such actions, you’ll struggle to find third-party tools that claim to merge multiple Instagram accounts, and even if you do, they’ll most likely be a scam.
If you have one too many Instagram accounts and are struggling to run them, the best option is to appoint another person as an admin or moderator for your account. Both Instagram and Facebook provide this functionality and it makes it much easier to manage content across multiple pages or profiles.
