CES 2020: Top 5 techs announced on the second Media day

CES 2020 is in full swing in Las Vegas, where a host of companies announced new product launches on the second Media Day. The product launches varied from smart home security techs to new and slim gaming laptops.

Here, we bring you a list of top techs that were announced at CES 2020. The event starts for the general public on January 7 (UTC -8). Stay tuned from more updates for the following days.

Ring at CES 2020

The home security company, Ring, has announced a range of new products at the CES 2020. The products include Ring Smart Lighting solutions, solar-powered outdoor lights and a control device — Ring Access Controller Pro.

Ring also announced a new control centre that will allow users to access their privacy and security settings at a centralised location in the app. The new settings also enable users to opt-out of giving their Ring feed to the local police in the area.

The company also unveiled A19 Smart LED Bulb and the PAR38 Smart LED Bulb that can be controlled via the Ring Bridge app through which the user can adjust the brightness, turn the lights on or off as well as set schedules. For outdoor spaces, Ring has launched Solar Floodlight and Solar Pathlight. These run on solar energy as thus are sustainable.

Amazon at CES 2020

Amazon has announced Alexa integration to newer models such as Lamborghini Huracan Evo and Rivian. The company also announced Echo Auto, which brings Alexa integration to vehicles, and will be available in India on January 15, followed by other countries.

Amazon also announced to expand its Fire TV to more devices, including in-car entertainment, which will be used by carmakers such as BMW and Fiat Chrysler, and Fire TV edition for Soundbars as well as for operators and Certified Solutions Providers.

Acer at CES 2020

Acer announced two new Swift models at CES 2020. The Swift 3 (SF313-52/G) comes with a 2.62 pounds weight and runs on the latest Nvidia graphics. The device supports fast charging, USB Type C port and a fingerprint sensor.

The Swift 3 (SF314-42) is 2.6 lbs and supports WiFi 6, up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512 GB PCle SSD. For more information, visit the Acer website for more information on the laptops.

Dell at CES 2020

Dell S15 GE (Special Edition)

Dell has launched a new and affordable laptop for gamers. The all-new Dell G5 15 SE (Special Edition) is powered by  3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 4000 H-Series Mobile Processors and AMD Radeon RX 5000M Series graphics. The laptop has a 15.6-inch FHD display panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and is priced at $799; launching in April.

Alongwith that, the company also announced a new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor (AW2521HF) with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 24.5-inch FHD display along with several other features.

Dell also announced Alienware Second Screen, where the users can access the performance on their mobile phones.

Asus at CES 2020

Zephyrus G14

Asus has announced a range of laptops and desktop on the second day of CES 2020. The Zephyrus G14 model is powered by a 4th generation AMD Ryzen processor and is just 1.6 kg. The laptop has a battery life of 10 hours and comes with a Type C support.

TUF Gaming A17

Additionally, the company launched four more gaming laptops. The TUF Gaming A15 and F15 along with the A17 and F17 variants. Users will have a choice to opt between AMD 4th generation processors and the upcoming 10th Gen Intel Core processors and will have military-grade durability.
