Additional Tips

  • Email address vs. Display Name: Changing your Gmail name only affects how your name appears in emails and not your email address. Your email address will remain the same.
  • Multiple accounts: If you manage more than one Gmail account, you’ll need to repeat these steps for each individual account to update the name across all of them.
  • Professionalism: If you’re updating your name for professional reasons, consider how your name change might impact your email correspondence and inform relevant contacts if necessary.

Changing your Gmail name is a simple way to keep your email communication professional and personalised. By following these steps, you can ensure that your new name is displayed correctly and consistently across your email communications.
