Usernames on any application or website are the essential means of identification. The registered email ID often becomes the username, while other times, the application prompts us to enter a username. Microsoft Teams is a platform widely used for meetings, chatting and video calls. Generally, the username on official and institutional accounts is the email ID itself, while in personal accounts, the user gets to choose the username.
In this article, we will see how to change the username and profile picture on Microsoft Teams.

How to change profile picture?
A profile picture is essentially an image that gives any third person a pictorial identification of you. Like most other social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and others, Microsoft Teams also requires a profile picture. In case of the absence of a profile picture, the initials of your username appear in the given space.
The profile picture can be changed on both, the Microsoft Teams desktop application, and the web application. The process for both is the same.
Step 1: Click on the current profile picture or letter initials displayed.
Step 2: Hover over the image in the circular enclosure. A camera icon will be visible.
Step 3: Click on the camera icon.
Step 4: Select the Upload picture option to upload a new picture or the Remove picture option to remove the current picture.
Step 5: Select the new desired profile picture from the system.
Step 6: Click on Save.
Step 7: Click on Close.
The profile picture has been updated successfully.
