Used by over 30 million active users, servicing over 600,000 orders, Grubhub is one of the more popular delivery services. However, if you’re looking to move onto another service or have an issue with the platform that can’t seem to go away, here is how you can delete your Grubhub account in a few simple steps.
The following method permanently deletes your account and the following data.
- Order history
- Re-order options
- Loyalty points and rewards
- Grubhub credits
- Account details.
Once you’ve deleted the Grubhub account, it can’t be reactivated.

How to delete Grubhub account via its website?
The following guide will help you to delete the Grubhub account and any personal information that the company has collected from you, with a few exceptions, pointed out at the end of this section.
Step 1: Login to your account on Grubhub.com and go to Grubhub.com/help/privacy/manage-your-data.
Step 2: Click on Submit a request option under Delete your personal information.
Step 3: On the next page, enter your email address and click on Verify my email button at the bottom.
Step 4: Click on the Confirm email address in the email you’ve received on the registered ID.
Step 5: Then on the next page, click on Submit request button at the bottom of the page.
Step 6: Click on the Delete button on the confirmation window.
You’ll see a confirmation message on the next page titled, We have received your request.
As mentioned there, it may take up to 45 days to permanently delete a Grubhub account once the request is received. You’ll still be able to access the account until it’s deleted.

You can keep the subject as ‘Request Grubhub account deletion’ or something similar and include your registered email address and phone number in the email body.
Note that you shouldn’t add any sensitive financial information such as your card number or other similar details in the email correspondence with the Grubhub support team.
