Whether you want to clear some space for new images or want to install a heavy software, you can free up space by deleting media from the Photos application on Macbook.

How to delete photos on MacBook using Photos app?
Open Photos application on your Macbook and follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Select all the photos and videos you want to delete by pressing Command key + A simultaneously or you can choose to remove some photos or videos by pressing Shift key and clicking on those particular files.
Step 2: Right-click or tap two fingers on the touchpad to open the menu. Select Delete Photos. Alternatively, you can press Command key and Delete simultaneously, to send the selected photos or videos to the trash can.
Step 3: Confirm the action by clicking on Delete.

How to permanently delete photos from your Macbook via Recently Deleted?
Once you delete photos from the Photos app, it goes to recently deleted folder and can still be recovered within 30 days. In case, you want to delete the files permanently, go to the Photos app and follow the instructions given below.
Step 1: Click on the Recently Deleted folder from the list of options on the sidebar.
Step 2: Click on the photos or videos you want to permanently delete or press Command key + A simultaneously to select all the files available in the folder.
Step 3: Click on Delete on the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Confirm the pop-up message by clicking on OK.
