Zoosk is one of the more prominent and growing online dating platforms that has been making waves but with constant competition, there are many others vying for the top spot — as is the case with love –, and you might be tempted to switch to a better option.
While creating an account on the platform is a breeze, deleting your Zoosk isn’t an easy task. You’ll first need to deactivate your Zoosk account and then contact the company and request deletion.
In this article, we explain how to delete a Zoosk account via the PC and smartphone app.
Step 1: Deactivate your Zoosk account (PC)
This is the first step that you need to take to permanently your account. Follow the method mentioned below to deactivate your Zoosk account on PC.
Step 1: Open Zoosk and then click on your name at the top right of the screen.
Step 2: Select Account Settings from the drop-down menu to open the account page.
Step 3: Click on Edit option next to Account Status.
Step 4: Here, click on Deactivate account.
Step 5: Hit Deactivate and then select the reason why you are deactivating the account. After that, click Continue Deactivation. 
When you are done, you can see the following message on your screen.
While the above process will only deactivate your account, which means that the account is still on Zoosk servers but is in a dormant state. You can activate the account by logging in with your Zoosk ID.

Deactivate your Zoosk account (Smartphone)
Here are the steps to deactivate Zoosk on a smartphone.
- Open Zoosk and then tap on the hamburger icon at the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap on the gear icon next to your name and then tap on Account.
- Tap on the pencil icon on Account Status and then go to Deactivate.
- On the next page, tap on Deactivate.
- Then tap on a reason and then on the Continue button. Repeat the same on the next page.
- Then on the final page, tap on Complete Deactivation.

Step 2: Request Zoosk account Deletion
Now that you have deactivated your account, you will have to contact the Zoosk support team and ask them to delete the account. If you have linked the account with Facebook or Twitter, make sure to unlink the account from there.
When you are clear from your side, write an email from your registered email ID to support@zoosk.com asking them to delete the account. Here is a sample email:

Subject: Delete Zoosk account permanently
Body:
Hello,
I have deactivated my Zoosk account and request you to delete my Zoosk account permanently. If you need any information from my end, kindly contact on this email.
Thank you.
The support team will take a few days to get back to you and hopefully, your Zoosk account will be deleted.
