Does Arby’s take Apple Pay?

Arby’s is one of the most popular American fast-food restaurant chains with more than 3,300 outlets across the United States. It was founded in July 1964 by Forrest and Leroy Raffel and since then has been known for its sandwiches and fries. However, if you’re thinking about grabbing an Arby’s sandwich for lunch today, you might be wondering about your payment options.

Much like other fast-food outlets, Arby’s also has modern payment options including credit and debit cards as well as contactless payment options. But does it take Apple Pay?

Arby’s and Apple Pay

As mentioned before, Arby’s pretty much neck on neck with competing fast food outlets when it comes to accepting payment options and this includes digital wallets like Apple and Google Pay

You can use Apple Pay to pay at Arby’s outlet and ordering from their app or website.

However, you might come across several Arby’s outlets where Apple Pay might not be supported or the management might refuse to take Apple Pay. This comes down to staff training and the availability of working Point-of-Sale (POS) units. Regardless, while it’s best to have a backup payment method, most Arby’s outlets will accept Apple Pay without any problems.

There are certain advantages to using Apple Pay or similar digital wallets as compared to traditional payment methods. It’s fast, convenient and doesn’t include any hidden fees that might rack up your bills before you realise. However, limited availability or issues with the Apple Pay app can leave you in a rut, so it’s best to have a backup payment method available.

What other payment methods does Arby’s accept?

Other than Apple Pay, you can use just about any traditional or digital payment method at all Arby’s outlets including:

  • Cash
  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Prepaid cards (subject to availability)
  • Gift cards (subject to availability)
  • Google Pay and other supported digital wallets.
