How to find out the model number at the back of the MacBook?
If your MacBook’s battery is dead or it cannot be powered on for some reason, you can still find out the model number at the back of the device. Just flip the laptop and look for the model number imprinted on the hardware body (refer to the picture below). Once you locate the model number, which would be something like- A 14XX, you can do a quick internet search for its specifications.

The last way to find the model number of your MacBook is on its original packaging. In case you have the MacBook box lying around, you can look for the model number under the bar code label as shown in the picture below. The same can be found on the original receipt or invoice of the product.
