Zomato Pro Plus replaced by Zomato Gold

The online food delivery service Zomato has revamped its loyalty program, now called Zomato Gold, replacing its previous Pro Plus membership. Zomato Pro Plus was discontinued back in 2021.

This latest version of Zomato Gold marks the fourth edition of the company’s loyalty program. Previously, Zomato introduced its Pro Plus membership in 2021, following the Pro membership launched in 2020, which itself replaced the original Zomato Gold program. Initially, the Gold membership focused on discounts for dining in at restaurants, while the Pro plan offered perks like priority deliveries and discounts on online food orders. However, the benefits have undergone significant changes with the latest update.

Benefits of Zomato Gold

With Zomato Gold, users can enjoy free delivery on orders exceeding Rs 199. However, it’s important to mention that the free delivery service is restricted to restaurants within 10 km of the user’s location. Additionally, the delivery platform has introduced a special offering: users will receive a Rs 100 coupon in the event of order delays. Moreover, Zomato Gold subscribers will gain VIP access during peak hours, ensuring a smoother and faster ordering experience.

How to get Zomato Gold?

Follow the steps below to get the Zomato Gold:

Open the Zomato app on your phone and tap on your Profile icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Tap on the Join Gold Mini option.
Then tap on the Join Gold Mini button and then make the payment.

Can you get Zomato Gold for free?

Getting Zomato Gold completely free isn’t currently offered by Zomato itself. However, there are a few ways to obtain it without directly paying:

Referral program: If you know someone with a Zomato Pro subscription, they can gift you a 3-month Zomato Gold membership.
Credit card offers: Certain credit cards from banks like IndusInd, Axis, ICICI, American Express, and HDFC might offer complimentary Zomato Gold memberships upon meeting specific spending criteria.
Promotional offers: Zomato occasionally partners with various platforms like Paytm to offer free Zomato Gold memberships as part of promotions. However, these are limited-time offers, so keep an eye out for them on the Zomato app or website.
Free trial: While not technically free, Zomato offers a 14-day free trial for new users. This allows you to experience the benefits of Zomato Gold before committing to a paid membership.

Current bank offers

HDFC Bank is offering a Zomato Gold membership coupon for the Ragalia cardholders. Customers who acquired or upgraded to a Regalia card on or after March 20, 2019, and spent 75,000 rupees within the first 90 days from the card activation date are entitled to this membership.
IndusInd Bank is also offering a Zomato Gold membership coupon, which will be valid for 30 days from the date of communication. You’ll get an email or text message with your Zomato Gold Membership coupon code within 15 days of receiving your card. The Zomato Gold membership coupon code will be sent to you by registered email or phone number.
