One in-game day in Minecraft lasts for about 20 minutes. Out of this, daytime lasts for about 10 minutes and night for roughly seven minutes. Days will start at 6 AM in-game, with the sunrise lasting about 23 seconds.Â
The Sun hits noon five minutes into the day, and after 10 minutes and 28 seconds, beds become available to sleep, hinting that night is dawning. Midnight comes in at around 15 real-world minutes, and the Sun starts rising at about 20 minutes, starting a new day.Â

Minecraft lets players craft many things according to what they might want, and a clock is one of those things. Here are the items you need to make a clock in Minecraft.
- 1 x Redstone dust
- 4 x Gold ingot
You can combine the two items on a crafting table to get a clock.
Minecraft clocks show the Sun and the moon’s position relative to the horizon. This can help tell the time and figure out when to sleep. These clocks represent time by cycling between a blue background with sunlight or a black, moonlit background.
Apart from being a helpful tool, clocks can also be placed in an item frame and used as a cosmetic decoration in your Minecraft house.
