If you use an Apple device, you might know about Airdrop. The handy feature lets you quickly and wirelessly share files, photos, and more with nearby Apple devices. By default, your Airdrop name is typically your device’s name, but you might want to personalise it.

Even if all your Apple devices are connected to your Apple ID and iCloud, the name of each device is not shared with the others. Each device has a unique name that doesn’t automatically update on all your devices.

Changing the Airdrop name is a simple process, and this guide discusses how to change the Airdrop name on iPhone and Mac.
