Amazon is by far one of the most popular e-commerce stores in the world delivering just about anything to anywhere in the world. However, with such a wide delivery network, there are bound to be situations where you as the customer would want a separate billing and shipping address.

In this article, we’re talking about how you can change the billing address when ordering from Amazon.

Changing your Amazon billing address

Note that the addresses you have saved in your Amazon account are shipping addresses, meaning that’s where the actual package will be delivered. As far as your billing address is concerned, it’s connected to your payment method instead of your Amazon account.

So in order to change your billing address, you’re going to have to go through your payment settings and change it there, instead of simply swapping out your shipping addresses.

Changing Amazon billing address on a browser

If you’re using a web browser to access Amazon, here’s how to change the billing address.

Step 1: Open the Amazon website, log in with your account and hover over the Account & Lists option. Select My Account from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Click the Payment options button.

Step 3: Scroll down and under the Your saved credit and debit cards heading, expand the card that you want to change the billing address for, then click Edit.

Step 4: Click Change under your billing address.

Step 5: Select an address from your saved addresses as the new billing address. If it isn’t in the list, click the Add an address button to add a new one. Once you’re done, click Use this address and you’re good to go.
