The initial reservation chart will be displayed approximately 4 hours before the train’s departure, while the second chart, reflecting any seat allocation updates, can be accessed online just 30 minutes before departure. This online chart will highlight any changes made to seat assignments.
The enhanced interface will provide layouts for nine classes used in Indian Railways’ reserved trains, featuring over 120 distinct coach layouts.

To check the Train chart on the IRCTC website follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the IRCTC website and log in to your account.
Step 2: Make sure you are in the Trains section, in the Trains section click on the Charts/ Vacancy button, below the Trains tab.
Step 3: Enter the train number, select the date and enter the Boarding station. After providing the required details, click on the Get Train Chart button. If the chart is prepared, it will generate the chart.

If you use the IRCTC app more frequently than the website and want to view the train chart on the IRCTC app. Here are the steps to that:
- Open the IRCTC app on your phone and tap on the Train icon.
- Tap on the Chart Vacancy icon.
- Enter the train number, select the date and enter the Boarding station. After providing the required details, click on the Get Train Chart button.
