Download and install the Spotify desktop app

Searching for Spotify on the Mac App Store might find other apps that can play music but not the official Spotify app. To get Spotify on your MacBook, you must go to the Spotify website and download the app from there. To download the Spotify desktop app, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Go to the Spotify download page and click on download

Step 2: Allow downloads from Spotify if asked.

Step 3: Go to your downloads and click on the Spotify installer.

Step 4: Confirm the installation by clicking on Open on the prompt.

Step 5: Spotify’s installer will then download and install the app.

Step 6: The app will automatically appear in your Dock and launch once installed. Log in and let the music play!

Use the Spotify web player

If you don’t want to download the Spotify desktop app, Then you can use the Spotify web player.

Step 1: Go to the Spotify web player and then click on Log in button located at the top right corner of the site.

Step 2: Choose any option you prefer to log in to your Spotify account.

You can now use the Spotify web player and enjoy the music.
