Step 1: Open your Amazon account and click on the Returns and Orders option beside the Cart icon.
Step 2: In your orders find the order you want to return and then click on Return and replace items button from the list beside the order.
Step 3: Choose the reason for returning the product from the box under Why are you returning this?
Step 4: After choosing the reason it will ask you to write a comment, write the reason for returning the product in a brief and then click on the Continue button.
Step 5: On the next page, checkmark the box and then click on the Continue button.
Steps are same for returning a product on Amazon only if your product has return and refund policy.
How to request a refund on your Amazon pay order?
If you have paid through Amazon pay for your order and you want to return that order then follow the steps below:
- Go to pay.amazon.com and sign in, then click Check your Amazon Pay orders.
- Find your order and click on the Details option.
- Under Need to Resolve a Problem? Click Choose a problem type and select Request return, refund, or cancellation.
How long does a refund take?
If you have asked for a refund you can also choose the method of refund, after the carrier receives the product it usually takes two weeks for Amazon to receive and process the return.
Once Amazon issues your refund it takes extra time for your financial institutions to show the balance in your account. For credit cards, it takes three to five business days and for debit cards and checking accounts it takes up to 10 business days while for Amazon.com gift cards it just takes two to three hours.
