Apple’s iMessage stands out as a top-rated messaging platform used by many today. It’s remarkable, especially considering it’s exclusive to Apple users. While the app provides various features, there’s still room for enhancements. One notable feature missing in iMessage is the ability to create polls within group chats. Fortunately, you can use third-party apps to use polls in iMessage.

Use Polls for the iMessage app

The Polls for iMessage app is an external application that lets you make polls directly within your group iMessage conversations, seamlessly integrating with the Messages app. This app is great because others can participate in the voting process even if they don’t have the app installed, and it supports polls universally across all devices. Here’s how to install and use it:

  • Tap on the Plus icon beside the message box.
  • Tap on More.

  • Exit the app and restart it.
  • Open the group chat again, scroll through the iMessage app icons and tap on the Polls icon.
  • The app will open on the bottom half of the screen; tap on the Get Started button.
  • You can add a name for the poll and various options.
  • After you are done, tap on the Send Poll button.
