Video conferencing tools and services are one of the most commonly used forms of communication, in addition to instant messaging apps, and Zoom has seen a meteoric rise in the market over the past year. Zoom meetings have become extremely popular, especially for work-from-home professionals and students.
If you’re new to Zoom and are having trouble figuring things out, here is how to join a Zoom meeting on your smartphone and PC.
To join a Zoom meeting, the host needs to share the invite URL or meeting ID. Once the meeting begins, anyone with the meeting ID or URL can join unless the host has enabled the Lock Meeting option, which can prevent new participants from entering the meeting. You don’t need a Zoom account to join a meeting.
Alternatively, to call on Zoom, both the parties can sign up for a Zoom account using their contact information to call without the need to host a meeting URL.
