Running Android applications on Windows is quite easy. All you need is the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA).

Check virtualisation status
Before installing WSA, you should ensure that virtualisation is enabled on your system.
Step 1: Press the Windows key + X to open the Quick Access Menu. Select Task Manager.

Step 2: Click on the hamburger menu at the top left and then select Performance.

Step 3: Under the CPU section, check if Virtualisation is enabled. If disabled, head to Turn Windows features on or off > Virtual Machine Platform > Ok.

Finally, restart your PC and head to other steps.

Download WSA from the Microsoft Store
Once virtualisation is enabled, you can proceed to install WSA:
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store on your PC and then search for Windows Subsystem for Android. Click Get to download and install WSA automatically.

Step 2: If you cannot find WSA in the Microsoft Store, you can manually download and install it. Open your web browser and go to the WSA download page. On the webpage select Product ID in the dropdown menu. Now, paste this Product ID in the space: 9p3395vx91nr

Step 3: Click Generate Temporary Links.

Step 4: Scroll down to find the MSIX bundle for the latest version (approximately 1.37 GB)

Click on the MSIX bundle link to start downloading. If the download does not start automatically, right-click the link, select Copy Link Address, open a new tab, paste the link, and press Enter.

Install WSA manually
After downloading the MSIX bundle, follow these steps to install WSA manually:
Step 1: Navigate to the folder where the MSIX bundle is downloaded. Right-click inside the folder and select Open in Terminal.

Step 2: Run the following command: Add-AppxPackage -Path
‘PackageName,’ where the package name is the name of the downloaded file. Take a look at the screenshot below. Press Enter and wait for the installation to complete.

After completing the installation, WSA will be ready to run Android apps on your Windows 11 system. You can now install APKs and enjoy a seamless Android experience on your PC.
