Twitter is one of the most popular social networking platforms that has increasingly gained traction since it has given voice to various movements across the globe and has become one of the go-to places for people to converse on a wide variety of topics and issues.

The micro-blogging site has added several features to enhance the user experience and make the platform more interactive. The two most notable of them are the doubled number of allowed characters in a single tweet — from 140 to 280 — and the introduction of Threads on the platform, which let users form threads of their tweets that appeared together and became an essential tool for those looking to tell a larger story and won’t fit in a single tweet.

Threads on Twitter have also led to the creation of several apps and services that compile threads on the internet. We’ve got you covered if you’re new to the platform or can’t figure out how to make a thread. In this article, we explain how you can create a thread on Twitter via a browser on a PC and the Android and iOS app.

Threads with two or three tweets generally appears on the timeline at once and are connected to each other via a line — so as to appear like a bundle. Threads with four or more tweets are usually truncated with an option to Show this thread at the bottom of the first tweet. Clicking or tapping on this option will expand the thread.

The Show this thread option is displayed at the end of the tweet when it’s shared on Direct Messages on in Retweet and Retweet with comments as well.
