Nothing’s Phone (1) has been actively leaked recently, building up the to the announcement date revealed by the company. However, Carl Pei revealed the rear design of the phone on Tuesday, confirming several rumours about the phone’s design, especially regarding the transparent back design.
Pei, the founder of Nothing and co-founder at OnePlus, revealed the design in a tweet, saying that it’s harder to contain leaks these days, and many people had been waiting for a long time.
You can see a dual-camera setup in the top-left with an unidentified sensor right above the flash. Other than that, the wireless charging coil reportedly can light up in addition to illuminating light strips on the rear of the phone, as teased by Nothing in a previous event.
The phone’s display specs have already leaked. Phone (1) will reportedly get a 6.55-inch OLED display at 1080 x 2400 resolution. We don’t have any information on refresh rate yet, but we’re expecting at least 90Hz, if not a higher 120Hz screen.
The reveal from Pei doesn’t show the front of the device, but we know from previous leaks that there’s no chin or notch on the front, with the front camera placed in a punch-hole cutout in the centre.
As for the camera, we were expecting a triple camera setup coming with a 50MP primary shooter (with OIS support), an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor. While we can see two cameras on the back, which could be the primary and ultrawide cameras, the identified sensor to the right seems like it might just be the 2MP depth sensor.
The phone is also expected to be a heavy performer, with rumours suggesting either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 powering the device paired with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Overall, here are the specs from all the leaks at the moment.
