What is QLED?
It stands for Quantum dot Light Emitting Diode which works based on photo-emissive quantum dot particles. With semiconductor nanoparticles and a colour filter to top it off, a QLED screen emits magic on the screen. Samsung coined the term QLED; however, Sony first used this technology in their television sets with Triluminos.
Natural monochromatic light gets produced when light passes through the QD film and a colour filter of red, blue and green (RGB). This gives a complete colour absorption of the RGB pigments by the LCD screen and a better colour gamut, thus creating beautiful images. A colour gamut is a range of colours that can procreate on an external device.

What is Crystal UHD?
UHD is a brand name used by Samsung for its Ultra High Definition televisions. It is also called ‘4K’ due to the four-fold increase in pixel quality from normal HD resolution. The 4K’s pixel resolution is 3840 x 2160. A Crystal Processor 4K inside enhances the bright colours and deepens the darker shades. The picture quality is accompanied by HDR or High Dynamic Range which provides a realistic and crystal clear picture quality.
Even though Samsung’s Crystal UHD TV is price efficient and affordable, they are thicker and heavier. The Crystal UHD is like a normal LCD TV with a higher 4K resolution.

Crystal UHD vs QLED
When you compare the two, you may find that QLED is definitely better than Crystal UHD. However, a 4K Crystal UHD processor TV is more economical and suitable for anyone willing to compromise on pixel resolution. Some more points in which QLED is different from Crystal UHD are as follows:
