Qualcomm has been one of the leading brands when it comes to modern-day mobile processors, and here we’re going to talk about two of its latest from its 800-series — Snapdragon 845 vs Snapdragon 835.

The Snapdragon 835 mobile processor (MSM8998) was the first one to get the advanced 10nm design, decreasing the size of the chip and increasing the performance.

The latest in Qualcomm’s lineup of the 800-series mobile platform, the Snapdragon 845 SoC (SDM845) sports new architecture that supports AI and immersive virtual reality, gigabit LTE and modern security architecture.

Both of the SoC’s support biometric security measures and the new one also supports additional security for the saved biometrics on the device.

There has been a significant change in the processor speed combined with a better GPU mechanism as the 10-nanometer node also gets some power enhancements in its 2nd gen avatar.

Other than that, protecting the data stored in the supported biometric security protocols is also another welcome news. Snapdragon 845 also brings support for slow-motion video capture (720p @ 480fps)

The Samsung Galaxy Note9, which was released on August 9, 2018, is powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC and the Galaxy Note8 was powered by Snapdragon 835. If you want to know more about the differences between Galaxy Note9 and Note8, click here.
