Galaxy Book3 Ultra

The flagship laptop in the new Book3 lineup is the Galaxy Book3 Ultra. The 16-inch laptop comes with either a 13th gen Intel Core i7 or i9 processor (H-series) and an RTX 4050 or 4070 GPU. It also gets a 2880 x 1800 OLED screen running at 120Hz and 16:10 aspect ratio with 400 nits peak brightness as per the recent trend in laptops.

Samsung is targeting the pro-grade consumer here with the Book3 Ultra and aims to compete directly with Apple’s Macbook Pro 16. With a starting price tag of $2,399.99 sitting $100 under the base Macbook Pro 16, the laptop can give stiff competition to Macbooks, although it remains to be seen how it stacks up against the new M2 chip from Apple. The laptop is yet to get a release date.

The new displays are essentially OLED panels running at 2880 x 1800 resolution and 120Hz with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Book3 Pro laptops however don’t get a dedicated GPU, instead using the Intel Iris Xe Graphics. These can also hold as much as 32GB LPDDR5 memory.
