After three years, Samsung returns to in-person events as the company has sent invitations for their Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, scheduled to be held in San Francisco on February 1.
The event begins at 10 am PST, and while the company hasn’t exactly shared details about the upcoming announcements, it is expected to introduce the next-gen Galaxy S series line-up, the Galaxy S23. If the rumour mills are to be believed, the phone will feature the 200MP camera sensor that Samsung unveiled in September 2021.
While the event marks the South Korean brand’s return to physical events, Unpacked 2023 will also be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and their Youtube channel.
Samsung is also offering pre-order reservations for people interested in the yet-to-be-announced devices. Those who put in a reservation will get a $50 discount (as Samsung store credit) if they decide to purchase the new device and $100 if they purchase two. There’s no obligation to purchase after a reservation is made.
“A new era of Galaxy innovation is coming. Our innovations are designed to enable incredible possibilities for people today and beyond. The new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic,” Samsung announced on Wednesday.
Last week, Samsung teased a new range of hybrid foldable and slidable displays that might power their next generation of mobile devices.
