Billions of videos have been uploaded by users on Youtube ever since it launched in 2005 but not all of these are appear in searches or feeds of people. Youtube allows creators to set their videos to Public, Private or Unlist them.
If a video on Youtube is set to Private, only the uploader and anyone they invite to view the video has access to the video. It will otherwise not appear in recommendations, search, feed or anywhere else on Youtube.
Private Youtube videos also can’t be shared using the link. The uploader has to invite people to watch the video. Also, comments are not allowed on Private Youtube videos. You can learn the difference between the three privacy settings for Youtube videos in our article here.
In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of sharing a Private Youtube video with someone in four easy steps.
