Are you tired of changing the font colour, font style, or background for each slide of your presentation? Instead of changing it for every slide, you can use Slide Master.
Slide Master is the main slide that stores all the customisations, such as the font size and colour of your presentation. The customisation that you give to your master slide is applied to all the slides of your presentation. Thus, Slide master reduces your effort and helps you in maintaining consistency in your presentation.
Creating a Slide Master
Follow the steps given below to create your Slide Master.
Step 1: Open your presentation. Go inside the View menu and click on Slide Master.
Step 2: On the left-hand side, you can see various slide layouts. The master slide is the first main slide which controls the customisation of every slide. You can edit the theme, change the font, colour, background styles, slide size of your master slide.
Step 3: The slides below the master slide are the individual slide layouts. You can add any specific change to a particular layout. You can edit the theme, add or remove the title and footer, and change your slide’s font.
The image above shows that the background for the selected layout is hidden but not for the other layouts. This demonstrates that you can specify specific customisation for each layout.
Step 4: Once you are done with your changes, click on Close Master View to close your slide master. You will see that all of the changes are applied to your presentation.
If you want to apply some more changes after closing the Slide Master view, open it again to modify the settings.
Since the master slide controls the customisation of every slide, you can add a logo, watermark, or even a disclaimer to your master slide. When added to the master slide, the logo will appear on every slide that you will work on within your presentation.
