How to turn off the camera sound in iPhone and iPad?

The camera’s in smartphones have seen unprecedented advances in the past decade and have become the most used feature by the consumers, owing to the growing ease of sharing media across the internet. As much fun it’s to click photos for sharing with friends and family as well as your followers on social networks, the camera sound can get irritating especially if you’re taking quite a few shots frequently.

While there is no way to turn off the camera sound via the settings directly, below we’ve explained three methods that’ll turn off the camera sounds on your iPhone or iPad, without any third-party app.

#1 Activate Live Photos mode

Enabling Live Photos mode on your iPhone or iPad’s camera will turn off the camera sound as the device will be using the microphone to record an audio clip to go with the photo, which means the phone’s speakers are turned off momentarily.

To turn off the camera sound on the iPhone, go to your camera screen and tap on the Live Photos mode option at the centre of the toolbar options at the top of the screen. Once the Live mode is activated, you’ll see a yellow Live label on your camera screen. Now when you click a photo, the shutter sound will be switched off.How to turn off the camera sound in iPhone and iPad? Also read: How to update your iPhone on iTunes?

Another quick way to lower or turn off the camera sound on the iPhone and iPad is to turn down the volume of your device either via the volume rockers or using the Control Centre.
