However, having joined a bunch of servers, the insane amount of notifications, you can end up receiving an insane amount of notifications.

How to disable Discord server notifications?
If you’re looking to disable certain notifications from a specific server, follow these steps.
Step 1: Right-click on the server you want to mute the notifications from and click Notification Settings.
Step 2:  From here, you can control all kinds of notifications you can get. If you don’t want to be notified at all, select Nothing under Server Notification Settings and enable the toggles for Suppress @everyone and @here, Suppress All Role @mentions and disabling the Mobile Push Notifications toggle.
Alternatively, you can just mute the entire server by right-clicking on the server icon, hovering over Mute Server and selecting the duration you want to mute the server.
You can also do the same for server categories or individual channels.

How to mute a specific user?
If you’re looking to mute a user from a server, find the user in the server’s right-side panel, right-click on their username and enable the mute checkbox.

How to disable Discord notifications from Windows Settings?
If you don’t want to mess around with Discord’s settings and want to disable the app’s notifications altogether, you can do so from Windows Settings.
Step 1: Press Windows key + I to open Windows Settings and search for notifications. Click on Turn app notifications on or off from the search results.
Step 2: Under Get notifications from these senders, find Discord and disable its slider.

How to disable Discord notifications on macOS?
Apart from disabling the notifications from within the Discord app itself, the steps for which are identical to the ones mentioned above under Disabling Server notifications, you can also disable notifications outright from macOS settings.
Step 1: Open the Apple menu and click on Systeem Preferences.
Step 2; Click on Notifications.
Step 3: Under Notification Preferences, find Discord and toggle the Allow Notifications slider off.
This will disable all notifications unless you manually enable them.

How to disable Discord notifications on the phone app?
If you’re looking to disable Discord notifications on either of its phone apps. here’s how.
Muting the entire server
These steps are identical for Android and iOS.
- Locate the server you want to mute and tap and hold the server icon. Tap on Notifications from the menu that appears.
- From here, you can control and mute all notifications that you don’t want to see. These settings work exactly the way they do on the PC app.
Muting specific channels
These steps are identical for Android and iOS.
- Locate the channel you want to mute and tap and hold the channel name for a bit.Â
- Tap on Notification Settings from the menu that appears.Â
- From here, you can either mute the entire category or determine what messages you want to mute.Â
Another alternative method for quickly muting the whole channel is as follows.
- Swipe left on the channel to open the members’ list. Tap on Notifications on the top.
- From here on, choose the duration for which you want to mute the channel.
Note that this setting mutes the entire channel, and you won’t receive any notification whatsoever.Â
Muting specific users
Unfortunately, you can’t mute specific users from within the Discord Mobile app. You’re going to have to block them instead.
- Swipe left on the channel to open the members’ list. Tap the member name that you want to block.
- Tap on the three vertical dots in the top right.
- Tap on the Block option.
To unblock a user, follow the aforementioned steps, and you’ll see the option to unblock instead of block.Â

How to disable Discord notifications via Android settings?
If you don’t want to deal with Discord’s settings, you can turn off all notifications from Discord in Android’s settings.
- Tap on Apps & Notifications.
- Tap on Show all apps.
- Find Discord in the list and tap it to proceed.Â
- Tap on Notifications.
- Disable the Show notifications slider.
Now Discord won’t show any notifications unless you manually enable them again.
How to disable Discord notifications via iOS settings?
Follow these steps to disable all Discord notifications in iOS settings.
- Tap on Notifications.
- Find Discord in the list and tap it to proceed.
- Disable all the notifications you don’t want to see.Â
