Step 1: Hover over the video and click on the Gear (Settings) icon from the toolbar at the bottom. Then from the menu, select Subtitles/CC. Step 2: Then select the subtitle language option from the available list.

You can also customise the appearance of the subtitles on YouTube on their website for PC, such as font family, colour, size, background colour, opacity, window colour, opacity, character edge style and font opacity.
