Here are five solutions you can try out to fix Twitch error 1000.

Restart your router

Power cycling your network equipment is the fix to more issues than you think. More often than not, connectivity issues can be caused by an underlying bug in your router and can be fixed by rebooting.

Stream below 6000kbps

Another common reason you’re facing this problem is that you’re streaming at a higher bit rate than your connection can handle. Ideally, you should be streaming at around 6000kbps. So try changing your streaming bitrate to 6000 in your encoder and see if that fixes the problem. 

Disable Hardware acceleration

Disabling hardware acceleration can also help free up space in the system memory, eventually resolving the Twitch error 1000.

Step 1: Click on the three-dots icon on the top-right and click on the Settings from the options below.

Step 2: Search for Hardware acceleration. You’ll find the setting under System. Just toggle the switch off and then use the Relaunch button to restart Chrome.

Clear your browser’s data

Corrupt files in your cache or otherwise can cause this error as well. Clear them out to see if you can get Chrome to work.

Step 1: Type in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.

Step 2: Select the cache and cookies options and ensure the Time range is set to All time. Click on the Clear now button to clear out all the data.

Check for updates

If the issue is in Chrome, developers might release an update to fix the problem. Regardless, you should always make sure you’ve got the latest version of the browser installed to avoid running into problems that could otherwise be avoided. 

Head to chrome://settings/help and ensure you’re on the latest update. If you’re not, update immediately and try again. The same applies if you’re using any other browser.
