Starting Tuesday, Twitter has started accepting applications for the new Ticketed Spaces, and Super Follows features that allow creators to monetise. Twitter has been working on ticketed spaces for a few months and had teased super follows earlier too.
Ticketed Spaces allows creators to charge a one-time ticket for their Spaces — ranging from $1 to $999. Super Follows work like Youtube’s channel memberships, where people pay to get an extra level of interaction and content from the creators. Super Follow memberships can choose from $2.99, $4.99 or $9.99 per month.
How much do the creators get paid?
According to Twitter, Creators will see up to 97% of their ticketed spaces and super follows revenues after an in-app purchase fee. However, this percentage can decrease depending on the charges levied by the payment processor, including any transfer fee or currency conversion charges. E-wallets might levy additional charges too.
Moreover, once a creator has collected more than $50,000 in lifetime revenues from Twitter creator monetisation products, including ticketed spaces and super follows, their share will reduce to 80% of the total revenue after Twitter takes its cut.
The minimum payment threshold is $50. Failing to meet it will roll over the earning to the next month.

Monetise Twitter Spaces
Ticketed Spaces offer an exclusive audio experience on Twitter for those willing to pay. As mentioned above, prices for the tickets can be set by the hosts anywhere from $1 to $999.

Hosts can also limit the size of their Ticketed Space by inviting limited people. They can also send push or in-app notifications to remind attendees or simply share the Space’s details on the timeline to attract a bigger audience.
Only users with 1,000 followers or more who are more than 18 years old and have hosted at least three spaces in the last 30 days are eligible to apply.
While the applications are currently only open in the US, tickets can be purchased worldwide.
The company is partnering with Stripe to handle payments. Hosts will need a Stripe account as well.

Super Follows for more content
Super Follows allow users to purchase a ‘subscription’ to their favourite Twitter accounts in exchange for more interaction or tweets. Basically, you’ll be paying for bonus content here. In the initial test, creators can hand out badges to Super Followers to highlight their subscriptions.

Just like Ticketed Spaces, applicants must be 18 years or older, have at least 10,000 followers and should have tweeted at least 25 times in the last 30 days. Applications are currently limited to the US only.
The same financials apply to this as well. That is, Twitter taking 3% of your earnings after Apple or Google have charged their own fees. However, do keep in mind that these numbers apply after Google and Apple have changed their in-app subscription fees.
