Apple launched the new iPhone 16 lineup, a series of watches, and new AirPods at its “It’s Glowtime” September Keynote event. The new iPhone lineup is the first to come equipped with Apple Intelligence, which includes new AI features.

At the event, Apple launched the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max, and two new Apple watches, Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

New iPhones with Camera Control and Action buttons

The new Apple Intelligence-powered lineup comes in two sizes, 6.1 inches for the iPhone 16 and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 16 Plus, and a new customisable action button. The physical camera control button lets users control the camera through sliding gestures.

The Camera Control button uses visual intelligence to enable AI recognition and image content search. ChatGPT integration can further help with Camera Control searches. Users can also stitch photos into a video through AI with a prompt.

Bigger and thinner Apple Watches

The new Apple Watch Series 10 has a 30% bigger OLED screen. The wide-angle screen also allows viewing from tighter angles. The 9.7 mm design was created by reducing the sizes of already small modules such as the SIP digital crown and speaker system.

The watch’s case is aerospace-grade titanium, while the PVD is coated in natural gold and dark slate thread colours. It weighs 20% less than the stainless steel Series 9. It houses a new S10 chip and ships with watchOS 11, which includes features such as Training Load measurement and a Vitals app. It has a sleep apnea detection and alert feature that uses the accelerometer.

It comes in Satin Black with matching black titanium bands and parachute-style lock-in mechanisms. It comes with watchOS 11, which features similar to the Apple Watch Series 10. A new Titanium Milanese loop band of the Watch Ultra 2 was designed specifically for water activities.

The Apple Watch Series 10 price starts at $399, while the Watch Ultra 2 starts at $799.
