How to fix the e15 error code?

Here are three fixes that will help you in resolving the e15 error code in the dishwasher:

Hard reset your dishwasher

It is possible that the e15 error is just showing because of some glitch in the control board, take out the power chord from the switchboard and leave it for 3-5 minutes and then plug it in again and starting the dishwasher will fix the error if it was because of the glitch. If the error is still showing, then follow the next step.

Try tilt method

For this, you have to take out the dishwasher if it is under the kitchen cabinet, take out the dishwasher and tilt it at an angle of 45 degrees; this will allow the excess water that was in the base of the dishwasher to flow out and away from the water level safety switch which will fix the error code.

Reset the water level safety switch manually

To reset the safety switch manually, you have to remove the door panel and kickplate of the dishwasher, after removing them follow the steps to reset the safety switch manually:

  • Remove the safety switch and then remove the polystyrene disk
  • Mop up the water in the basin by using any cloth
  • Check the basin for things that might be clogging the water
  • Put the polystyrene disk back in the basin and then push the safety switch back in
  • Close the door panel and kickplate and restart the dishwasher.

This will fix the e15 error in the dishwasher.

Third step is a bit complicated, so if you think you cannot do it then contact the Bosch customer service.
