Step 1: Head over to your game library and choose the game you’re having issues with.

Restore License

Restoring the PS5 license is the next method to resolve the CE-107857-8 error on PS5.

  • Go to Settings
  • Select Users and Accounts
  • Then select Other
  • Select Restore Licenses

Disable/enable sharing and online play

Another quick way you can try to resolve the PS5 error code CE-107857-8 error is by disabling and re-enabling the Sharing & Online Play option.

This is the simplest method of all and requires the least amount of work. Note that you will, however, need a backup of your game data if you want to restore your progress. We suggest backing the data up in the cloud since you have issues with your system storage.

Diagnosing the external storage drive

If you’ve got the Blu-ray drive issues sorted out and are still facing the PS5 error CE-30005-8, the problem most likely exists in your external storage drive. Now there are three ways to resolve the issue from here.

Reset the PS5

If all else fails, you will have to factory reset your PS5. It’ll remove all existing data on your console and give it a fresh start to fix any issues you’re facing, including this error.

You can reset your PS5 using the console interface or Safe Mode. We recommend resetting through the console interface as it’s safer and comparatively easier.

If that doesn’t resolve your issue, you will have to enter Safe Mode and select the Initialise PS5 option to reset your console.

Clean format your PS5 Storage Drive

If nothing else works, you will have to completely wipe your PS5’s system storage drive and start from scratch.

You’ll have to take out the drive from the console, attach it to a PC and format it there for this process to be successful. This is an extreme measure, but it will surely resolve your issue.
