League of Legends is one of the coolest team-based 5v5 strategy games and if you’ve been devoting a lot of time in building your profile and getting better at the game, it’s recommended that you protect your account with a strong password too. If you’re looking to change your LOL password but can’t figure out how to do so, we’ve got you covered in this article.
Here is a guide to help you change your League of Legends account password in five simple steps. But before you carry on with it, here are a few things you should keep in mind.
- You can’t reuse an old password you had set for the account earlier.
- Your password can be no shorter than eight characters and no longer than 128 characters. That shouldn’t be a problem.
- Your password must contain at least one letter and a symbol.
- It’s recommended that the strength of your password must be between Okay and Strong on the strength meter below the New Password box.

Change LOL password
Log in to your League of Legends account at account.riotgames.com and follow the steps mentioned below to change your password.
Step 1: Click on your summoner name at the top-right of the account homepage and from the dropdown options list, select Settings.Step 2: Next, Riot will require you to enter your account password again. Enter your password in the box provided; then click on the arrow button below the box, which would’ve turned red.
Step 3: You’ll now receive a five-character security code on your registered email ID. Enter the code in the space provided on the next page and then click on the arrow button below, which would’ve turned red. Step 4: Now on your LOL account settings page, click on the pencil (edit) icon to the right of Password.Step 5: On the Change Password page, first type your current password, then the new password in the box below and repeat the new password below.
