Toggle between light and dark mode

Switch the modes from the Display Settings
Some users fixed the irregular Google Discover feed by adjusting the dark mode settings of the phone. To do that, follow the steps below.
- Open the Settings app on your phone and tap on the Display option.
- In the display settings, turn the toggle on or off beside the Dark theme to switch between light and dark mode.

Switch the modes from Accessibility
If you can’t find the option to switch between dark mode in the Display Settings, such as on older Pixel phones, you can use an alternative method to enable or disable dark mode through the Accessibility Settings. To do that, follow the steps below.
- Open the Settings app on your phone and tap on the Accessibility option.
- Tap on the Colour and motion option.
- Turn the toggle on or off beside the Dark theme to switch between light and dark mode.
Override the Dark mode
If the above methods don’t work, you can force the dark mode through Developer options. To do that, you have to enable developer options. If you already enabled the developer options, follow the steps below.
- Open the settings app on your phone and tap on the System option.
- In system settings, tap on Developer options.
- In developer options, scroll down, find Override force-dark, and then turn the toggle beside it.
Use another wallpaper
If the issue persists, another method to resolve the irregular text and contrast issues in the Google Feed is to change your phone’s wallpaper. It has resolved the issue for many Android users facing the issue with dark mode in Google Discover.
